Need new wiper blades... Suggestions
Since I've had my truck, I've been using the stock Toyota blades. They work good but don't seem to last long. DOes anyone recommened anything else? I'd like to find something I can buy in an AUTOSTORE instead of online...
Suggestions???

mine last about 9-12 months but as cheap as they are at the stealer, i just get the stocks. i have not found any that work better than the stock ones do. just my $.02

Jason, I have tried many a wiper blade (see my review in the Gear section) and the stock Toyota ones I have on there now are the best.
They don't squeek like aftermarket ones do, and they do a much better job.
Mine have been on for a year I think, and as cheap as they are I am going to replace them next time I am at the dealer.

OEM
It's hard to beat $5 a pair for OEM wiper blades that work great! I just replace mine every 4th oil change, the front ones anyway. Actually with that new Rain-X window washer fluid I hardly even use windshield wipers anymore on the highway, only in town and then only if it is pouring.

I use BOSCH Microedge on mine. They seem to last about a year.
They are not refills though, they come with the wiper and the metal part.. If I remember correctly, they are $~18 a pair.
I use the Toyota OEM for the rear window though.

Oem ones are good but the closest dealer to me is 2 hrs away. I found that Advance Auto sells a blade refill that is almost identicle to an OEM refill. It comes with the 2 little metal strips in the refill. I think its a Trico brand but not sure. The cost is about 3.50 ea.

I just replaced my OEM with some BOSCH Micro Edge as well. I had used them on my last car and they work great. The OEM blades were leaving black crud down the side of my windshield, not matter how much I tried to clean them. Plus they barked real bad. The BOSCH are as quiet as can be.

I just the Aanco blades that are listed at my local parts store to fit my rig. They clean the glass real well but I also use the Rain-X Windshield Washer fluid so that helps a lot!

I've been using Trico blades and they seem to work well and I goty good life out of them on my eclipse but to be fair my Eclipse never saw snow after '99 and very little rain.

I've been very happy with my PIAA blades. They have a cool Carbon look too. Got em from PP. Not sure if they are available offline anywhere.

I don't know why but suddenly my blades work like new, maybe it's the cold weather that has slightly hardened the rubber, and I was just about the replace them and now their impressing me
I also use rain X
Usually when I need new blades I just swap mine with another new 4Runner on the lot

I use trico winter blades in the winter the toyota blades dont seem to hold up in the ice/snow and salt. but the do work better the rest of the year. The trico's have a rubber boot around the hole metal wiper so snow/ice dont pack in and make them stiffin up

I've always wondered about those big rubber boots. Kind of ugly but I bet they help keeping wipers flexible. I think Trico also has silicone looking wipers for winter. I've only seen them a few times. Has any body used these "clear" type blades?

when I was at napa we never pushed the winter blades (with the boot). seemed like we had more people complain of the blades letting water in and then freezing (making them worthless) than them keeping snow and ice out like they are supposed too. just my $.02

Believe it or not...
I grabbed a Lexor blade at Walmart when the passenger side began streaking and making noise. Got arm and blade for $6. I was so pleased, went back and got another one for the driver's side.
MUCH easier to replace than those metal strips on the OEM versions.
Give them a try!
