Need a few opinions.
Hey,
New to the forums. Got a question. I have a 1988 Toyota 4x4 XtraCab shortbox and I have been trying to find a box for it that will look good. The original box that was on it rusted and rotted right out, so I got a home fabbed one on it and its rotting out too. So I'm just wondering if its possible to get a box from a newer model. I'm not really interested in finding an original box for it. Any ideas?

i recently just bought a new box for my truck, 89 shortbox, and i could only find 2 deconet nad rather high still but decent prices in all of BC, $1200 for no rust with minor dents, i would buy a fiberglass box if you don't do much wheeling due to flexing and the possiblity of cracking, but there is no chance of rust,
that would be easiest and your best bet

I would call some wrecking yards down in Eastern Washington, Idaho or Oregon, find one and make a trip down to get it. (I've been to Williams Lake - I know it's a long drive!) For instance where I live (western Oregon) rust is non-existent, and 84-89s are a dime a dozen. You'd probably find it worth your time.
