Need Advice on '99 Tacoma
'99 tacoma 3.4L 5Spd 4x4, body has usual wear for a truck that old. problem is, 105K miles.
My question is, how long do these motors (and trannys) last?
I'm also looking for advice for or against it.

Keep up with your maintenece and don't drive it like a bat out of hell and it will last for a good while.

I really hope i dont mess this up.
awesome, thats what i wanted to hear.
The engine compartment is cleaner than my '04 was. and i cleaned it monthly. if he kept the out side that clean only hope that he kept up on usual stuff. it's got new plugs and wires. and other little things that should be done at 100k so i'm feeling ok with it.
also any advice with known problems?
