need 3vze diagnostic help!

ok ever since my episode in the mud its been running strange. for a while it drives fine the falls flat on its face when you step on the gas??, almost like the gas pedal is not connected, no change in RPM's. If I let off the gass completely it step on it again it comes back I wonder if maybe I screwed up the AFM when it took a gulp (muddy water). I sprayed it out with thottlebody cleaner, still does it. maybe a TPS problem????

Any advice is welcome

thanks
MIke

I think you are on the right track, but if you "step on the gas", that is a mechanical process. You hit the gas pedal, it pulls the cable, the cable pulls the valve open. Maybe it is something to do with your butterfly valve and the pullys for the cable?

.. nope, mechanically its all functioning. maybe I should disconect the batter and hard reset the ECU? I had a simialar deal when it had vacuum leak. I'm getting a spare AFM from camotoy just in case
