Mystery Misfire

Typical newbie first post and asking for help. lol

I recently purchased a 2000 4Runner with 120k and once I took it on the highway I popped a CEL code. Autozone said it was a cyl 2&5 misfire. They cleared it and it came back almost instantly. Next day while driving it sputtered and misfired horribly so I took it to a buddy who checked the plugs and wires and the plugs were older and we found a split in one of the wires. We replaced the plugs with NGK plugs and the only wires around were Autolite wires so we used those. After replacing plugs and wires it ran fine however when I drive on the highway once I get to about 70-75 the CEL blinks and then stays on. If I decelerate it stays solid but if I am on the gas at 73mph and 2500 rpms the CEL blinks and states misfires on 2 and 5. So I look at 2 and 5 and they are on the same coil pack. I replace the coil pack and truck runs ok but once again 73 mph and 2500 rpms cel blinks then stays solid. It will blink then stay solid almost any time I am on the highway. I am baffeled.

the truck had a K&N intake on it when I bought it could it be too much air not enough spark? or am I looking at a possible injector issue?

Di-Electric Grease did you use any for the tune up???
swap the coil pack with another and see if the misfire moves with it if so replace that coil pack.
which NGK plugs did you use
refer to

I did have the same issue at one time and ended up just taking the spring out of the drop tube and stretching it out then using di-electric it fixed my issue yours may not be the same
