My SuperCharger Rocks!!!
Gents,
I just purchased my first Toyota, 2003 4R, bought a demo SR5, and used the diff in price to get the supercharger. I cant imagine not having it, it made a huge diff from the stock engine. It pulls hard with all that torque, and hits 70 in no time flat.
The Borla although quite expensive makes the engine sound like the V8 it should.
I am however dissapointed with the traction control, which on mine does not have a switch to disengage it. Does anyone know how to dissable it. The dealership geeks dont seem to know or dont want to do it.
Oh yeah, after market leather for $1400 bucks was a bargain too.
Any one else running the supercharger, any one mod the pulley yet up to a 12psi???????????????

One place that you'll want to read through is "Gadget's" site:
http://www.gadgetonline.com/4Run.htm
There's a lot of info there about S/C's and what you can expect now and in the future.

Yes I second that read gadget's site .
I can say from experiance headers exhaust and a good airfilter will help. the 7th inj kit is very good with smothing out the power and getting rid of the pinging.
just my .02

Congrats on the 4Runner and the SC V8 do you have pics of the engine with the SC, what did they charge you, any plans to get it dynoed.
Your not hotdogonastick cause thats a guy on edmunds with a sport who just got an SC too.
I'll eventually put the SC on my truck, if not this truck then the GX470 or another 4Runner if they still have the 4.7L in it.

Hey twilson,
Dude, you have to report the gas mileage with the SC. Also, what grade gas do you use? I imagine that you are using Premium. I am hoping that the 4runner will get at least 15 miles/gal in the city with the SC on Premium. Thanks for the info.
