My ride and rack

Been lurking since I bought my 4Runner. I figured I better try to upload a pic of it. It came w/o the factory rack, so I added that and the Rola safari rack w/ the extension. I like to take the family camping and w/ a 2 yr old I need to bring too much stuff. The rack comes in handy and carries a boatload of gear. I bought the yakima pads and bar for the front and attached the front of the rack to the bar w/ screw type hose clamps. The rack sat right on the bar. I put some thin rubber between the rack and bar, and also wrapped the bar/rack w/ the rubber before I put the clamps on. I just covered them w/ black electrical tape. The rack is very secure. I can hang off the side and it will not budge. It also lays flat across the roof. It may look raised in the front but that's the slope of the roof line. That's it so far...just need some free time to mount the Hellas on the bumper, remove the running boards, get some new tires, etc.

Hopefully I got the pics to post....oh yeah...the Runner needs some cleaning

TR
