So i was doing the extended diff breather mod today and noticed some greasy looking stuff on my wheels, and hte back of the drums, Could be nothing, could be a sign?

Anyways here are pictures

The side that I think is leaking (passenger), notice what looks like some drips on the wheel



The other side (driver)



Rand my finger across the drum, feels like grease, or oil with lots of dirt in it



So does it look like they are leaking? If so replacing them wont be an issue, and I wont beat a dead horse and ask how, just should I replace the inner one only, (I have no press, and not that many tools or I'd do it all) And a shop is out of the question.

yep. thats what it looks like, or a brake cylinder but probably not, you would know. axel seals are cheap and easy to replace. pry them out and pound in the new ones..

stick the new ones in the freezer the night before, it makes them go in a lot easier.

If you have over 100,000 miles on the tuck I would consider replacing the rear wheel bearings too. Not an easy job without a press but they will fail eventually and make the seals go bad again when they do.

Thanks guys, looks like I'm off to the stealer to get some. I should do the bearings, but I am in no place to do them, no press, no tools, and not enough money to have the shop do it. I would as i usually like to do it right, but for 20 bucks now I'll get it done when i have acess to a press. Unless there is
someone in the chicago area with a press, who would like a little extra cash?

Should I do the rear brake pads too while they are out?

Looks like it to me.... Luckily its as easy as taking off the 4 bolts behind the drum, unhooking the brake line, and pulling out your axle assembly. The oil seal is right there.
