mufflers... ect

i have a hole in my muffler which sucks.

what im trying to figure out is what i need to get for my 4-runner.

and any brands of mufflers/ exuast stuff would be appreciated. I have no idea what im doing when it comes to this kind of stuff.

check out corey's webpage. he has a bunch of audio files on it from other member's exhaust setups. though i do not think many (or any) of them are for your model year, at least it will give you a starting point. of note, download all the magnaflow sound files. all THREE sizes are represented there.

Look on this page near the bottom for the link to the Exhaust Comparison I have been putting together for over a year now.

For your 22RE engine, I'd go with 2.25" from that cat converter back to the tailpipe.

Any good muffler shop can set you up with new tubing and a good performance muffler for between $200 & $300.

I run the 14" Magnaflow as seen on the page, and I like the sound of it very much.

check out the magnaflow universal mufflers .I am using the 18' ovalcan. By the way where can I see coreys site on exhaust at?thanks

I put a flowmaster on my 95 runner. 3.0 V6

here's what it sounded like before (right click save as)

I've never seen a muffler that shape mounted vertically. My Borla is a similar shape and is mounted flat...

hey guys thanks.... ill be goin with either a flowmaster or a magna flow.


i really like the sound of the flowmaster on L33T35T 4Runner's 4runner so i think im gonna go with one of those.

I should also gain some hp too im thinkin since im running a header already so I should improve the flow of my exaust.
