MUDDY Toys & carwash Q

MUDDY Toys & carwash Q
So I went MUDDIN the other day and got very muddy. I figured why not show off and drive around for a few days before I wash it. Well today I went down to the carwash and it was busy as hell. I parked on the far side from the carwash attendant hoping he would not see the mess that was going to be awaiting him. After I spent over $10 in quarters to wash all the mud off I was kind enough to hose the mud to the center so that there would not be much of a clean up. The guy behind me should have been thankful but had a look of pissyness on his fat face. Well my question is this. Do you feel guilty using the carwash to clean all of the mud off your rig? Then the next question is do you spray it to the center drain area so the next guy wont have to step in it? Oh and has a carwash attendant ever yelled at you for washing your mud covered rig off in his car wash? Blue

Well I only wash my truck at my dads friends house (I live in an apt.) so I just hose (power wash) the dirt into the grass
If I was at a public car wash I wouldn't care to tell you the truth, you should be proud of having all that mud for people to see that you actually use that 7" of lift and those 35's for what they were meant for
When it's warm I'm taking my truck right after I get done muddin to a school sponcered car wash that's that will be done by cheerleaders (that should be interesting)

My only story is trying to go into Canada late one night. I was going out to coffee with a friend and they wouldn't let me cross the border. The Canadian guard told me that I couldn't cross with all the dirt on my truck. He said that I would contaminate their lands with American pesticides and bugs. He made me turn around and wash my car. When I got turned around and had to tell the American guards why I was being turned around, they started swearing up a storm about the idiot Canadians. Washing my truck at 10:00 at night set me back a good 45 minutes. But the jerks never saw all the dirt I left underneath my body!!!! hahahahahaha!

The carwash i go to we always leave a mess. But its not like we can ever help it because when 7 trucks go mudding and all go to the same carwash theres not much chance that place will be clean after you leave no matter what you do. Sometimes the guys that work there are really nice and have brought a fire hose and helped me spray my car down and help me try to clean it off the ground. But sometimes they come and yell at me and say i should bring muddy vehicles to carwashes like this, and i just tell em its a carwash, what am i supposed to do at a carwash, maybe wash my car. And they will just stomp off, and i can tell that they know there wrong. And about the people behind me, most seem to not care so much, and some even laugh at how muddy i can get my car.

Blue,
Yeah...it has to do with the water recycling that goes on in those type of places.
Unless they make some policy about dirty cars, they don't really have and excuse to get mad at you.
When the other customers give you a dirty look...just say something like - "I like to get my money's worth." Then wink at them...

Just a word of caution, some car washes (all but one here in richland) will write you up and you get to pay a hefty fine if you caught washing your truck after you get done playing. I usually take the hose to my truck at home, then go clean the rest of it at a car wash, or i hit the car wash around 11 at night when no ones there.
As for you question to feeling guilty, naw. its a car wash, i'm washing my car, it might be dirtier than yours, but im still washing it. but i do take the time to clean up behind me so i don't leave a muddy mess and people spend the time washing and vaccuming thier cars and then track mud in.

Do they have some sorta policy visible for this? Otherwise you are just following the info on their directions..."Insert coins, hose down vehicle, move along".

I am here in CA, we have tons of Mud...
I never let the mud dry on my truck as its a real bitch to clean off
I use the carwash down the street from my house all the time. Most of the times I see the old man working there, hes about 65 years old. and yes he always bitches about me cleaning my truck off. And no, I do not waist my money cleaning their bays, however, I do try to wassh it all to the middle so its not buddy all over (ie driving out dont throw mud all over the truck again).
I know the car wash people hate it , but gzz thats what a car wash is for right?

The name
C-A-R (or in this case T-R-U-C-K) W-A-S-H
If there ain't no dirt on it to wash off and make a mess of the bay, why wash it? I mean if you can do this (I was born in TX so I can make fun of it)
why not a muddy rig?
If it's that big a deal, just save your quarters and buy your own little pressure washer as they aren't expensive...

I avoid car washes, they cost too much, don't do a good enough job and the water they use has salt in em' around here, that just sucks. I now opt to use a firetruck, seriously.

I figure the muddier your truck is...the more money you will be putting into their machines so they can just deal with it. I have seen NO signs at my car wash about muddy vehicles...one time there was an employee working on the bay next to me and saw me pull in and then walked into my bay and just watched me clean my car for about 2 minutes, then I stopped as he walked towards me and I figured I was about to get biatched at for bringing all that mud in the bay instead he said, "Had some fun in the snow huh???" I was like, "Yes Sir I sure did! You don't mind me gettin this stuff all over your bay do you?" He simply answered, "First off, ain't my bay and second, if I had a rig like yours I would be goin' muddin the same as you...where the hell else are you supposed to get all this crap off at??"
He was one of those big ole redneck boys with more fingers than teeth...extremely nice guy though! We get a lot of those kinda people around here...I'm just used to it by now

Well I work for a casino that also owns a carwash next door to it. Well my boss runs it I guess and is always angered over the guys that wash off their muddy rigs. So I dont do it there even though it is cheaper because I know that the cameras will see me and someone could easily tell on me. I wish I didnt live in an apartment. My sister moved into a house though and I made the deal that if I can come over to wash my rig I would detail their S10 Blazer & Taco. But its water from the canal and the water only runs seasonaly so until spring comes its piss off the car wash boy days. Blue
