MT tires and wet traction...opinions?

Looking at the Good Year MTRs and Mickey Thompson MTZs for my 4runner and have noticed mixed reviews on wet weather traction. Not really a big deal usually but I am going to be using the rig to pull a 4000lb boat in and out of boat ramps that will most likely be slippery. Any experience on this?

IMO, an aggressive all terrain tire will work better for you. I also pull a boat and my new Wild Spirit TXR II's do much better than an M/T would. Also, do you live in a climate that sees a lot of snow and ice. M/T tires will not do well there.
