mpg question
How many miles do you get on your 4Runners until your tank is empty? I got 91 4Runner, V6 2WD and I get about 220-240 miles per tank (city/highway).
If it's not normal, what could be the problem?
Thanx

That's about what I get on my 94 V6 4wd. I think its a pretty typical stock result. If you want more mpg you get manual hubs or goto an electric fan.

90 V6 4wd runner
I was pushing it to get to 210 w/ an exhaust leak. I'm at 150 something at the moment with over a 1/4 tank, so I might get better milage after fixing the leak.

I was getting about 220 with downshifting, then I changed the origional Denso plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and the next tank I got 330 without downshifting.
And since I got my exhaust installed the day I filled it up last, I've gotten about 210. And I'm gonna fill up tomorrow.
If you don't have aftermarket exhaust on your truck, get it. It is a constant eargasm.

I usally never track milage however I did at Chritmas(trip to the parents house) time driving my wifes 4runner , in snowy conditions using AWD stop & go over Donner Summit , and still ended up getting a solid 20mpg. I was very impressed. Oh this is a 2002 4wd sport V6 auto.
