More Tech is up
Bob has three new write-ups in the Tech section under the Maintenance area.
They are for:
1. Reprogramming The RS3000 Remote For The Factory Alarm System
2. Amsoil Air Filter Re-charging
3. Oil Change For The 3rd Gen 4Runner
If you have not stopped by the Tech area in awhile, check it out.
It is growing weekly by leaps & bounds.

It's growing Ryan.
Sad thing this morning was I was working on the Maintenance page and had all three of Bob's thumbnails in there with the links to his write-ups.
I was just getting ready to hit the save button when the whole place went dark.
Someone outside hit a pole and the electricity was off for 20 seconds or so, but naturally I lost 20 minutes of work on that page.
Had to start all over
Corey, it would be nice if someone would document an Aisin hub install.
We have Matt's for his Warn's, but there are a few steps that are different for the Aisin's I believe.

You are correct. There are a few things different with the install--very minor, but nonetheless different. I can document the Aisin Hub install as well as the rebuild since I now have a set of Aisins. With all the snow and cold weather that we've had in DC, I haven't been able to get much done in the way of working on the Toy! It's supposed to be nice this weekend, so I might be able to get some work done on it. I won't have the hubs painted nicely in the pictures :cry: but at least there will be directions on how to do it. I'll make sure to document and photo each part of the rebuild process--something that I find missing from most of the hub rebuild articles I've found.

Is there an excursion planned for the mountains this weekend? 
If so, make sure you take some pictures.
My cabin fever has been mitigated with all the shovelling I had to do, but I do have mod fever. In addition to the hubs, I have a set of wackers sitting in my basement waiting patiently for the temperature to get (and stay) in the '50's, and I just got my sliders delivered yesterday.
One question about the wackers--you're going to drill holes in the bottom front and back of each one? I hadn't thought of that, but it sounds like a good idea. I'd be paranoid of cracking the flare when drilling though. Have you ever taken them off to clean underneath?

I have not taken mine off, but sometimes when I wash the rig, I will pull the flare out aways from the body.
You can pull it out a good 1/2" without hurting anything, and I'll squirt the hose in there and use the washmitt at the edge of it.
If I drill a hole, I'll have to be carefull.
But the flares are a lot tougher than they look.
Off the rig they are flimsy as you have probably seen by picking them up.
Once they are mounted, they are very riged and strong.

Hey Corey.. YOU don't have a back up??? Man.. you gotta get one.. I have one that will power down my computer after 5 minutes.. It is run off software and a com port and will shut down using windows.. Pretty cool.. and free!!! Yep, my boss bought a case for the office and gave me an extra...

I have seen those power backup things before Lee, they are pretty cool.
I have been in the middle of a post before and lost power, but never working on forum files such as I was today.
I'm sure my upstairs neighbor heard me screaming a few words when it went out
Yeah, if you whack the Wackers hard enough, they will crack.
I remember yours when it cracked.
