Search the tech section on a deckplate mod and elbow removal mod. Make sure your rig is all tuned up too. You may want to clean your throttle body (if you have one) and dump a can of BG 44K or other injector cleaner in your tank and you're good to go. Others may want to chime in on this as well. Welcome to the board and hope your pockets are deep!!!

Wash it! They always seem to run better when clean.

If you're looking for big power, swap in a 3.4L then add a supercharger.

The deckplate mod is out of the question because you cant do it on the 3.0.
But some easy things to do that i did and helped my performance a little bit, are in the tech section and do the ISR mod, UKmyers Airbox mod, and clean the throttle body. IF you havent done it already you may want to change the fuel filter, i did mine this past weekend and noticed a smoother running engine, and better throttle respnonse.

Ditto! There must be 50 lbs of mud on/in your truck! That just KILLS the power-to-weight ratio on the 3.slow!!!
