More Alternator Help
Hey guys-
First off, I have to give you all a big thank you for the continued help. The problem is almost solved. I have a question about the alternator. I know the 3 wires that plug into it are the IG, S, and L...correct me if I am wrong. Regardless, I am positive that when the key is in the start position, but the vehicle is not running, the IG wire should ready about 12V, which it does. When I turn the key I get a click, click, click. So the main quesiton is: What purpose does the large black 4 gauge wire running from the alternator do? Is it a ground or a power source. Also, if you think I should check any fuses, let me know. I did blow the IG1 under the daxh and replaced that one. I'll take anything you guys can give me. Thanks again. I'll get some pics up soon, as I am sure you all want to see a 4th gen that is making some headway.
