Mod Frenzy is beginning!

OK guys, its time to figure out and prioritize the mods that I want to do to my new Runner. I know I want to do the PIAA Super White bulbs for the headlights and fog lights and I will order those from Jason B. as soon as I can.

As for the next few I'm not 100% positive on them...I would like pics of a Highlander edition Runner (preferable) or any black 3rd gen that has the clear corners that match the 99+ headlights (the crystal clear ones, not the frosted.) Also, if anybody has both the clear corners and bumpers that would be awesome as well!

Another favor is for all black 3rd gen owners who have chrome aftermarket rims, I'm looking at the MT Classic II's but I cant decide yet. So either aluminum/chrome aftermarket wheels or some black steelies. Any pics of those would be greatly appreciated!

Right now I am looking into appearance modifications because what I'm doing after that is going to be super pricey and that is the supercharger.

Another question I had was how much was the end cost to buy the supercharger and have it installed. I am going to have to have somebody install it for me, I asked my dealer how much they would charge and they said ~$300. Is this good, bad, alright?

OK, I think thats it for now...thanks for the help guys! I want to do this rig right this time so I am going to plan out the way I want it to look before I buy ANYTHING!

Thanks again!

Fink

My opinion: Don't waste your money on PIAA bulbs. At least not the "Superwhite" ones. The only PIAA bulbs I've used that were actually worth the money were the H3 Super Plasma, and the H3 Ion Yellow, both of which would fit your fogs, right? I hated my PIAA superwhites, they don't look that good, don't work that good, didn't last very long at all, and they're over priced.

Obviously I think black wheels would look great (not that silver wouldn't). I vote for either the Wheelers black aluminum ones, or these Jaos ones are the secks: Victron Excell II or something like that...

Man, sounds like you really don't like the PIAA bulbs...thats a shame, I was hoping for a fairly unanimous response on those.

What does everybody else think of those??

Hope this helps

Heres a 3rd gen but its not black ....it has the clear 99+ headlights and cystal clear corners along with the clear bumper lense.....Being that its a 97 model i swapped it out for the 99+ headlights and did a HID retro in them....I had the frosted corner lenses with the frosted headlights and that didn't go well with the new headlights so i bought the crystal clear ones.... ...and that makes a big difference

I have never used the PIAA bulbs, but I really like the Sylvania Silverstars. It's not like night and day, but they are a little brighter and a little whiter than stock. The downside is the cost and they don't seem to last as long as stock bulbs. It's woth it to me. That little extra lighting when driving down narrow backroads really helps.
