the missing link?
Sorry guys! I'm sure this has been hit on a million times, but I cant find the link.
Replacing my ADD hubs w/ Asics. I thought I found a write up on it step by step, but cant find it again. (I need the step by step one, trust me) Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Gee I fell shunned being third down on the list
1Runner, if you run into any difficulties getting the ADD's off, let me know. That's probably the most difficult part. After that, you're home free!

ADD Question
Matt,
I have some hubs coming that bought off of Ebay. Am I able to reuse the ADD bolts/cone washers. The guy that sold these to me didn't keep those items.
If it makes you feel any better, I'll follow your instructions...
AND I'll wear my Asics when I switch to Aisins...

Cebby, How much did you get the aisin hubs for? I just got a reply from one of the salvage yards involved in my search... 65.00 a hub!!!(yipe, yipe, yipe yipe....)
At that $$$$ I'll be goin' w/ Warn premiums! I think it's possible the guy at the salvage yard was doin a little of this right before he called me!

Ouch (I feel your pain)
My local yards wanted $75 per side!!
I got them for $46 for the set. I got something else from the guy, so he waived the shipping on the hubs...
What I've heard is that the Warns stick out too far. Don't give up yet. I'll e.m. the guy I got mine from to see if he has another set or is getting some in.

Heads up
I just saw a link today for a guy in CO. who runs a Toyota graveyard.
Here is his site.
http://www.yotayard.com/
Cool Flash intro too.
There is also a Toyota graveyard in my state of WA.
www.nix99.com
And a member on the forum here works there.
WA. state has another Toy graveyard too, and they might ship.

Here is the owners Toyota from the above link.
He took two of the old extended cabs, and put them together, and also did a SAS on it up front.

Cebby,
The cone washers are used to hold the ADD hub in place, so you won't need those (unless there's something dramatically different with the AISIN hubs). With the Warn kit, you use the nuts that are on the ADD hub, so I'd guess that you'll be able to use them.
I think you're all set!
The only reason I wrote up the thing in the tech section is that the 4x4 wire directions say that you simply unbolt the ADD hub and bolt on the manual hub. I found that it wasn't quite as easy as stated! I would definitely take the wheel off though. It'll make it easier to get the cone washers out.
