Exclamation Max Tire size VS. lift

Hi all,
I'm kind of new to this forum. Came over from the 86'-95' forum. I've got a 93' Pickup that shot craps with brand new 33x10.5x15's on it. This friday I'm picking up an 01' Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 and want to put the 33's on it. Question is two fold. First, are the wheels the same bolt pattern? The 93' has nicer wheels vs the 01's steel wheels so obviously it would be nicer and cheaper to just swap wheels, tires and all. Second question would be, how high of a lift, body or suspension, would I need to make these 33's fit? Thanks in advance for your all's help and please hold off on the flaming. I did try searching a little but since I'm screwing the pooch at work I didn't have a whole lot of time to dedicate to searching.

Bolt pattern is the same.
You will need to test fit for the back spacing as sometimes there are clearance issues with the front calipers.
Search pinch weld mod. You may need to do some pounding up front.
Even 10.50's are gonna be a tight fit up front on a stock height taco

Thanks for the reply Dropzone. Sounds like worst case scenerio I'd have to pay the $100 to swap tires and keep the steel wheels off the 01' and that should get rid of any back spacing issues.

first make sure the tacoma actually has 15" wheels and not the 16" ones, IIRC they came with both because of brake caliper clearance.

The posting says it has 225-75R-15's on it. Sounds more like a car tire to me. Been looking at body lift kits on line. They look like they come with a couple of short hoses. Anyone have any idea what they would be fore?
By the way. Searched "pinch weld mod" but haven't found anything yet regarding calipers, wheels or back spacing but I'm still looking. Part of the problem may be because these threads are like crack to me. I start brousing and can't stop reading.

Found the pinch weld mod. Actually I found a thread in which someone said it was easier to search thru google and just add yotatech to the end of whatever subject you were searching and sure enough, the pinch weld mod popped right up. I'll try these 33's with the '93 wheels Thursday or Friday and let you all know the results come Monday.

Ok. So I'm back but I can't offer any infromation. I bought a 02' double cab with the TRD package so it's got 16" wheels. Good new is that the tires are brand new. Bad news is I guess I'll let the 33's go with the truck when I sell it.
