Max. Tire Size
What are the biggest tires I could go with on the factory allow wheels with no trimming or lifting?
I wanna go up to 33x12.5 but am concerned with rubbing and I don't feel qualified enough to cut ANYTHING on my truck
Sorry if this is like beating a dead horse but I have searched and haven't found a straight up error.
Thanks guys.

I've got 265/75R16's, and that's about as far as it goes stock.
(32")
*edit* disregard... I'm a 3rd gen... didn't notice the '95 part.

So I take it 33's would rub a pretty good amount? I'm not going to be doing any real "flexing" or anything. I hardly ever turn to its FULL capacity...
Would the 33's only rub when turning FULL or before that?
Thanks for the reply Scott.
I'm not sure if it would even be worth going any bigger...I have 31's now...would there be a noticeable(sp?) difference going with 32's vs. 31's? I am thinking about going with a Rock Crawler and BFG A/T setup...not sure though. If I can get enough money I may go with a Rock Crawler M/T setup so I can have an on-road setup and then an off-road.
Thanks guys.

Rubbin
I have 285/75/R16s with a 2" body lift and I rub slightly on turning but that is onroad and it is on the backside of the front fender wells. I'm going up 2-2.5" on a suspension lift soon so it won't be a problem at all then. I would imagine 265 is as high as you would want to go stock and be able to maneuver (sp) properly.

The largest guaranteed not to rub on a second gen are 31s. although, i have seen somebody with 32 dueler A/Ts that didnt rub. he got lucky though. mudders would probably rub.
33s of any kind would without a doubt rub badly

runnin 32s are only going to give you half an inch more clearance and your going to loose power too. I have a 94 and run 31s. 31s look good and with our 3.slows we need ALLLLLLLL the power we can get. but if you need the extra 1/2 inch and dont mind a power loss get 32s.

33's will not fit on a 2nd Gen runner stock.
32's should not have major issues.
31's will be a sure thing.

I run 33x12.5's with a 1" bodylift.
A narrow 33 may fit in the torsion bars are set at a decent height.

I'm running 31's right now. Just keep in mind that you are going to lose a significant amount of power by going to a bigger tire. I'm geared for the 225's and with 31's I can still get some acceleration in OD on the interstate as long as it's flat. I wouldn't go any bigger than 31's without a regear unless you are already geared for 31's (and I don't think you are). You could probably go with 32's and be ok but your power will really suck then, even more than it does now.

I baught 33x10.5 BFG AT TA's and found that they scrub during normal driving on my 90 4x4 p/u. I had to remove the front mud flaps then add Sway Away torsion bars and crank them up to save my $$ rubber! But now they rock!
