Manual locking hub conversion for 02 tacoma
is there any company that offers a manuale locking hub conversion kit for my 2002 tacoma 4x4?
im tired of those dam cv axle rotating all the time and with my 2 1/2" coil spacer it all gives me horrible gas mileage
i think that the add and the constantly rotating cv axles was a bad idea on toyota part
they should still come with manual hubs or at least offer it as an option on the newer vechiles

search around, theres lots of information on this. im pretty sure you can get some warns or aisins fitted in there. IIRC, you need new CVs to handle it and if you have ABS, you need to do more expensive work. You'd also probably want to look into disabling your add after that as you wouldn't need it and thats one less thing to break.

I assume the lift was accompanied by taller tires? If so, that causes the engine to work harder for a given speed and you are actually driving faster than the speedo shows and farther than the odo meter registers, so account for both of those issues. FInally lift = more frontal area = more wind resistance = lower gas mileage.
