Manual Hub Install
So i have been waiting to do my manual hub swap and finally did it. It was a pretty straight forward swap out, but i had some difficulties finding a place who will pressout the old wheel bearings and press in the new. But right now its all said and done and they are working.
spare set of cv's
What yall think?

Toyota, out the door total it would probabley be around 500 (250 for the manual hub parts, 150 bearings + misc, 100 for bearing pressing). Considering I almost have brand new spindles now (minues upper bj, which the thread was booger and we had to cut of the tip of it and put the nut on and tac weld it instead of the cotter pin).
OMG, i had to take it to 3 places to get them to do it. One place got one lock nut off, and couldn't press it out. After calling like 3-4 places one place said they would look at it, the said no once i got their. I called toyota of chattanooga, they said we don't do it unless its on your truck you drive in (gay). The finally place did them both and I was so happy, because it was about 4:50 pm yesterday when the got done (they recieved them around 12:30). The first place was an offroad shop with no experience in this stuff really, second a straight up hardcore machine shop, the last an auto machine shop, so he knew what he was doing.

Knuckle removal
I would like to know what you had to do to remove the knuckles and axle shafts. I am about to competely swap out my front auto knuckles and axles with a set I purchased from a junk yard. I have a general idea as to what to do, but not sure about certain things like did you have to lower your front shocks temporarily to get the knucles off etc......
Thanks

-Jack up truck , put on jack stands
-remove tire and remove dust cap on the spindle
-remove cotter pin and take off 35mm nut on the axle
-you have to take the brake calipers off and set them on a box or something to keep the lines good and take off the brake line bracket off of the spindle
-remove rotor
-remove 4 bolts that connect the lower bj to the spindle
-remove cotter pin and top nut on the upper bj
-either get a ball joint pickle fork or put the castle nut on upper bj and pound the crap out of it to get it loose
-u need a pry bar to get the axles out, you position it between the axle and where it comes to the diff
make sure your new axles are ready to go before you take out the old ones, so you don't loose a lot of fluid.
same thing to put it together, just make sure you line up the splines and with the axle lined up hit it with a rubber mallet.
when you put the new axle in the new spindle the washer goes on then the c-clip then the hub goes over that.
pretty easy and straight forward, unless your upper bj threads are boogered like mine were. I had to cut the tops off and use a tac weld instead of a cotter pin to secure them. I have new bj's ordered and can change them with the spindles on the truck.
