crimefighter,
doesn't you vehilce have a transmission dipstick? did you check the owner's manual? usually they have very easy to understand pics in the front part of the owners manual.
also, check out the "maintenance engine" in the maintenance forum. its stickied at the top.
lubrication: you should lubricate your driveshaft and steering stops if you have them. go into the "Tech" section and look for my write up on this subject
if you're driving high mileage, consider using amsoil or some other type of synthetics. PM me if you need amsoil. you might also be a good candidate for the amsoil double bypass oil filter system. this will allow you to run 25k miles per year and change the filters and oil only once (or 1 year, whichever comes first). search "BMK-13" and read up.

OMG, 90K???? PLEASE tell me that is a type-O. If you'd had the truck a year you'd have do drive almost 250 miles a day every day! If that is the case, what do you do just out of curiosity?

Believe me or not... I work with a guy who lives in Lancaster PA and commutes to the NYC area everyday. To be exact Lancaster to Newark Airport. That took me about 3 hrs to go to the Amish country on a trip.
And he's not a salesman. Wakes up, goes to work for eight hours and goes home. What kind of life that must be.
