Question MAF Problems

Im working on my 91 4runner V6 and have run into a little problem with the MAF. I unscrewed the two screws at the plug and pulled the plug out of the side of the MAF, not knowing this is not how its supposed to be done. SO naturally I plug it back in, check eng light on and my truck is not reving above 1500rpm. It looks like the foil pieces on the plug are torn and Im wondering if anyone knows how the plug is supposed to look, so I can solder them back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ALSO if anyone knows if there is any way to just bypass the whole MAF setup that would be even better, Im kinda interested in Snorkel install as well.
