MAF cleaning
I know there must be a write up on here on how to clean the MAF sensor but I can't find anything. I searched but did not find a complete write up. I am getting a CEL and want to try cleaning it before replacing anything.
Someone please help.
THanks,
BTW its a 97 4runner V6.

Here's what you are looking for:

The write up for cleaning the MAF is about 1/3 of the way down the page. Your MAF may look slightly different, but the principle is the same.
I hope this helps !

CRC makes a dedicated MAF cleaner. $7 at most stores. I'd be weary of using any type of brake cleaner. Electrical circuit cleaner maybe, but use the CRC MAF for peace of mind.
