Low fuel light not coming on.
I already did a search on this and found a picture of the low fuel sensor. I was wondering if I should check some other wiring behind the dash or if there was a dedicated fuse for the dash light. I has never worked in my 91' pickup. I bought it used.
Any advice? I would really prefer not to open up the gas tank to check the sensor.
Thanks,
David

Same here...I had a PreRunner, 99 model, and it had a light in the dash but it was not functional The dealer replaced 2 fuel sending units and then decided to look it up and found that I didn't have a light. If I had yotatech back then, I would have never gone to the dealer.

I thought I ran empty when I first got it. I filled up and it took 12.5 gallons
Then later somehow I managed to fill 13 gallons.
So I looked in my manual and it said I had 17.2 gallons. I thought they were crazy because the gauge was empty.
Then one day I guess I forgot to check the gauge and suddenly a light popped on. I didn't even know I had it. I filled up and it took 16.5 gallons.
My point is maybe you're not running your tank low enough. Just a thought

Rofl...I found the bottom of the tank a few weeks ago. I forgot to get gas the week before....looked down and saw the needle buried below the E. Stopped at the gas station and promptly filled it with 17.49 gallons...in a 17.5 gal tank!
I was running on fumes man.
