Sup yall,

I have been noticing a single low pitched noise that happens if approx 2-4 seconds after I turn my key to the ACC or if I just start it. It is quite loud and sounds like a vaccum of some kind (VOOOOMBBB). Any insights? I was thinking that it may be the break booster but the engine isn't started and it will still make the damn noise. I have also been observing a steady clicking noise that is coming from the EGR unit.

That would be your ABS.

Thanks Christian. Is that normal - or does it need to be replaced??

the abs unit will run a self check every time you start it or turn on the key, all that it is doing is checking the solenoids and pump for problems
