I have a Borla dual exhaust on my 2000 4Runner. Yes, it is functional (I moved my spare tire to make room). It is pretty dang loud and I've received quite a few compliments on it. Got it done for about $270 total.

FLowmaster 40, x2 on the the 14in mufflers..I'm running the classic Vortex frome Jason B.--one in two out, 3in pipes out the rear! Loud but you'll get drone...never notice it cus my subs are usually hittin. I do like the sound of Borola though.
