I was thinking of doing the dual gauge deal on my rig. Probably oil pressure, and tranny temp. Does anyone know where to get these "Lotek" gauge pods for less than $55. The gauges are almost cheaper than that. Also, what happens to the 0h ▓▓▓▓▓ handle on the drivers side? Does this get eliminated? I haven't seen any that still have it? Has anybody done this upgrade? If so, let me know the pros and cons of doing this. Thanks!

I did that setup, but with a oil pressure and voltmeter. You can't find the dual pods for cheaper then $55. I searched for a week. Yes the oh ▓▓▓▓▓ handle goes away. I'm thinking about taking one of the handles from the back and mounting it on the headliner. But, its an awesome setup, I love it.

PROS:

1. Gauges are in your peripheral vision. Whatever you do, get BRIGHT gauges and there's no need to take your eyes off the road - memorize 6, 9, and 12 o'clock numbers and what the truck normally runs at. You will see the needle position in your periphery. With the pillar mount, you should never have to direct full focus to these gauges while driving.
2. Get it color matched to your interior. Not exact, but close enough.
3. Good fit and finish.

CONS:

1. Can obstruct sight beyond the pillar. This poses a concern, and you will need to double-check for pedestrians at stop lights. It'll take about a week to get used to it. After that it'll feel like it's meant to be that way.
2. You lose the bar on the pillar - Who needs it anyway?

i guess i'm sold on the 2 pod. i was just searching and asking around about a 3 pod that i've seen since i can't find any for sale, but the look of the 2 and worry of the 3 obstructing view even more has sold me on the 2 pod. thanks for the pics too! yup, i dropped a measly $200 on gauges so $55 for the pod doesn't seem like such a hit. i would've like to get the sport comp II gauges but i couldn't justify spending that much, so i got the sport comp short sweep gauges instead, i don't mind.

I bought the ISSPRO EV gauges, at a bill a gauge they arent cheap... but then again they are some of the best made, and come with sender, amplifier, and gauge.... Why get cheap inst, if you want cheap just use the idiot lights

Guapo 83, what color is the pillar pod you have? I may take you up on that. Also what brand gauges are you guys using? I really like those white face ones but I'm not sure about them being kind of distracting? Autometer makes some pretty nice gauges but I have heard complaints about them. Like I said I was just looking at Trans temp and Oil pressure. I really don't want anything that'll be too blinding. Suggestions???

I don't want cheap, I just thought 55 bucks for a piece of palstic was a little high, but just like everything else if you want it, you gotta pay! Gauges are a different story, the price is worth it to me. I am a believer in you get what you pay for. What kind of lighting do those ISS gauges have? How's the lighting on those ISSPRO gauges?
