alright so the new 4runner im hopefully getting has a panasonic color changing decent sounding cd player in it but it is not mp3 compatable. i have about 300+ shipping to spend max on a new headunit. im coming off an alpine 9807 and 9813 which i loved but wish they had more adjustability and better sound equalizers in them (mostly the 9807)

iv checked out the CDA-7995 and really like it but am i correct in saying that i just run an 8gauge cable from the battery to the head unit and then all my other speakers run off my alpine amp??

so what do you gusy suggest? alpine, eclipse, kenwood, pioneer, jvc?? like i said i need mp3 and some good adjustments for my subs and mids. i wil most likely be getting it off ebay unless anyone knows of a place with great deals on your suggested HU.

love it. it doesn't have that 60wx4 v-drive amp so it's cheaper, and you're running an amp anyway so it doesn't matter. it has mp3 and sounds great. plenty of time correction, bass focus, high pass, low pass filters, all kinds of adjustments to get it sounding perfect. also cool motorized face plate.
