looking for fender flares

im trying to find some fender flares... looks like my main options are extend-a-fender (bushwacker) and the TRD flares. i was looking for cut-outs but i dont think anyone makes them for 99s.

what would you guys suggest? TRD or Bushwacker or ??? I need at least 2" more tire coverage.

--anyone know where i can find cut-outs? thats what i really want.

thanks.

Bushwackers

I run the extend-a-fenders on my 92 4Runner and love em'. They don't get brittle in the freezing cold, they soakup bumps with trees and stuff well and are easy to install. It mey seem like a lot of money at first but you wont regret it. Because of the nature of the cut outs, I think they are only avalible for the 80s trucks and 4runners and maybe landcruisers. I would not recomend trying to retrofit them, it could just turn into a very expensive lesson. Best of luck.

I had a set of the Bushwacker Extend-a-fender flares that I really liked but I totalled them one at a time. First was the right rear, then left rear, then right front last week. So I decided to take them all off, and I kinda need them with the 12.5" tires on 3.75" BS wheels! Oh well. I might replace the front ones with cutout flares, but the rear will have a flatbed so I won't be able to place those back there. I wish that mine had been more durable. Perhaps if someone makes a set of urethane ones?

Does anyone know if these aftermaket flairs will cover up the supposid holes made by the stock 98 LTD flares? I have yet to really look up under there, but my 285s are rubbing like a b**** and i'm tired of it.

Thanks!

yeah i saw xenon too.

my friend had some bushwacker cut-outs, and they were pretty rugged, so i may go with some regular bushwackers.

i need them too, 11.50s on 15x8s with 4" backspacing. they stick out about 2". my next tires will either be 12.50s or 13.50s, so i will really need the flares then. bushwackers sound good to me, and if i need to i can trim some of the inner fender if the tires rub.

austin- id say they would, but it probably depends what kind of flares you get.

everyone else- thanks for the input.
