I had a 99 Tacoma and I had absolutely no problems with it at all...In fact I wish I still had it sometimes. Mine was the 2.7L Pre-Runner (2wd) that could go just about anywhere my buddies Jeeps (4wd) could go! All in all a very nice truck!!! YOu wont be dissapointed with any of those year Taco's

Awesome man! You should totally do it. I have a '99 Taco 4x4 TRD and it's awesome and you also get the E-locker which is a must have. All 98-00 TRD's have them so any of those years would be good. I have nothing but fun in mine and other than a dirty MAF sensor making my check engine light come on, I have had zero problems. Definately go with the V6 though. There are so many more things you can do to the engine and even if you don't do anything to the engine you still get quite a bit of power. Good luck shopping man and glad to see you "Getting the Feeling"

I believe they come with either 31's or 265/70-16 which are the same as 31's.
