Question lock cylinder removal

I am new to YotaTech and this is my first thread: I am installing all new locks (doors, glove box and ignition) on my '97 4Runner (Limited) and am having trouble figuring out how to remove the door handle on driver's side. And, even if I were to figure out how to remove it, I still do not know how to disconnect the lock cylinder from the handle itself. Are there hidden screws or a clip or something? Thanks for your help! One more question concerning ignition lock change. Do you really need to remove the steering wheel in order to change the ignition lock cylinder. Can't you simply remove lowest trim panel and then remove ignition switch trim piece and then, after moving key to ACC position, pull switch out with key? Thanks for the help guys (and gals)!!

i had to remove the door lock recently. did not fix it, but got it working.
search yota tech for door lock wont turn or something similar; there are a lot of suggestions.
k ball did a great write up on 4rorg. his llnk was in yotatech thread.
search youtube; a1auto or 1a auto shows how to get into the door.
search google to get deeper in the cylinder.
