Cool Yo

Sup dude, did you get your hubs on yet>? If so get some pics up, I'v been tryin' to find a good pic of a 4 runner with the Aisin's on it. Plus I have a bit of a silly question, what's the benefit of the Aisin's over stock hubs? I dunno I'm still ultra new to this game, tryin to figure out what's worth adding to mine. There's one pair still available on Ebay. meh that's it not much else to say.

I thank you knidly gentlemen. My brain is starting to hurt with all the reading I've done in the past few days after finding this forum. And that's sayin' a lot being an english major...well that's what I was at one point. Im still trying to figure out where to start with my baby. i guess picking it up tomorrow night owuld be a start. Funyn thing is I'm missing the first day of white water kayaking in my region...that is the first effects of the thaw.

He's a 1998 4 runner auto SR5 V6 4X4 hunter green. I payed 15 900 before taxes, 18 270 after, with 78 000 km. I was looking at pretty much the exact 4 runner with 103 but she was silver and stndrd, but the dealer couldn't meet my schedule, so I bought this one the same day instead. His loss I guess. But as my first major vehicle purchase I'm all ˟˟˟˟˟'s and giggles right now. To me this seems like one phat truck, that is only gonna get more stylish as I mod 'er up.

95 was the last year on the 4Runner that you can switch to manual hubs cheap.

You can do it for '96 and on up, but it will run you $1000.
Performance Products carries a kit for that.
Their site is listed in our Vendor's Links section.

The outfit that makes that is called OE or something like that.
I have a stack of Perf catalogs laying around somewhere, but I'm to lazy to dig them out now

Just go to Perf's site and you might see the info there.

No no, don't worry about it. I really couldn't even afford the aisin's...well I'm sure I could have found a way, but not $1000. Plus I really need a new boat, I'll look for a few cheaper mods. You know like a good wash and wax. lol thnx though for the info and your patience.

The company that is making the manual hub conversion for the 3rd gens is Offroad Solutions...They're the same company that is making blueprints for installing a 3.4L into the 2ng gens. Check out their site offroad solutions
