For all you experts on lifts/suspension:
I only want to get a 1" - 2" lift and was thinking about just putting spacers in above my stock springs. Are there any serious drawbacks which I need to consider? Optimally, I know I should replace springs but is there any problem with just throwing spacers in? Al

I'm pretty sure that people don't suggest using spacers with stock coils, but I may be wrong. Some of the other guys will chime in...

If you do that, get some cornbread spacers. More than likely, your stock springs will fatigue after a while. Mine lasted less than a year before I started to sag. The spacers pre-load the springs. But you will get the best ride quality using stock springs.
