i'm going to be going out of town for two weeks, so i'd like to put my rig in my garage just to keep the vandals away. the trouble is, my garage is about 2" too short. if i take enough air out of the tires to get it in the garage and let it sit with low pressure for two weeks am i going to ruin the sidewalls on the tires? or is two weeks nothing for tires?

the tires are 31x10.50 michelin ltx.

it might over time cause problems.... however i dont know about the short term effects..... is there anyway to take off 2" of stuff at the top?

or deflate the tires, pull it into the garage then re-air?

Is it just to get thru the garage door or to sit inside? If it is just for the door, you could fill the tires back up a little once you get inside. I have to drop my tires to about 2-3 psi to back into my garage to put my hard top on. Once inside, there is a lot more headroom. The other option would be to put some jack stands under the axles to take the weight off the tires. But should be fine for a short time. You may feel some flat spotting for a while after you start driving them.

Why not install a complete lowering kit, get it in the garage, let it sit there and then uninstall it afterwards when you get back?

anyways air down the tires pull it in than put it on jack stands and maybe take the wheels off

I think you really need to think about some jack stands to keep the weight off the tires....air down roll in, jack stands to allow the tires to retain some orig shape....two weeks at nearly flat with weight on wheels could force them out of round.....
