Yeah, I waxed the whole runner and then went to eat dinner, which lasted 2 hours. By the time I got back to finishing the car the wax was set on the paint, so hard to rub off. It sucked. How fast can I rub it off next time, and I am never doing the whole car again, do you guys do sections? Also does a PC sped it up?

I allways do the whole rig at once and I have left it on for a long time without a problem but that was Talking Rain with "easy off formula". I think it all depends on the wax but I guess there is a reason why the directions say to do one section at a time.

I usually do the whole rig at once. As soon as I'm done applying I immediately start removing since I dont own a buffer. I always do it in the shade too, the sun will make it really hard to get off....

Wax in the shade when the paint it cool. As soon as you see the wax start turning hazy, then wipe it off. I can do my truck fast enough that I can wipe it all off at the same time.

Buy Meguiar's NXT wax. Works great and won't dry on there.

I use liquid glass and apply it in the sun. I just do a section at a time and when it hazes, I buff it off with a cloth. Afterwards, i just let it bake in the sun some more. great stuff.

Speaking of wax, ever use Meguires tech wax? That stuff is incredable! One month after waxing I gave it a wash and it looked Iike I had just waxed it! (that's unheard of for a black truck).

I ordered 3 kits of Shining Monkey (BEST WAX EVAR...PERIOD!). I always, always, do 1 body panel at a time, no matter size.

I'm more of a zymol wax guy. I also apply until the section becomes hazy and with a cotton cloth I clean it off. Works great

I do a section at a time using Griot's stuff. With a Porter-Cable buffer the polish or wax can set up quickly. If that happens, I squirt a fine mist of distilled water on the dried area to finish removal with a microfiber towel.

I actually waxed mine again yesterday. One panel at a time, in the shade, and BY HAND. (I hate using buffers)

I usually spend about 3 hours waxing and detailing the rig.

Now that must've been a good upper body workout (assuming low temps there). It seems the cooler the paint, the more drag.

I agree! That NXT stuff is awesome!
It's actually a synthetic polymer instead of a natural wax.
Sort of like Amsoil Synthetic vs. Dino oil kinda thing.

The NXT since it's synthetic, it can be engineered to have the qualities that you want already in it. As with regular wax, you have to find the qualities that you want in the wild.

The NXT does make your paint all nice and shiny though!
And it's the easiest stuff to apply on and wipe off. Lots easier to use than wax.

Australia is happening in November. Although I wish it to be more than 3 weeks, it's all I can afford to take.

I use that Maguiers Gold Class from Wal-Mart....goes on easy, comes off easy...last a long time...Its not overly expensive...I'm very happy with the results...if I had an expensive sports car I might look into something else, but until then I'll use this....

The trick to remove all of the 2 hour wax easy is to have plain corn starch & a cotton cloth.Dip the cloth with some corn starch and wipe off wax on vehicle.It will remove wax and will not leave a hazy look.Its gonna have a consistent shine from any angle.After removing wax you need to use a Detail spray like Wax Shop Slick Stuff and a microfiber cloth to remove excess powder of corn starch.

I also do section at a time and I find that to be the best way. Caked on wax is no fun.

BTW: has anyone used porter cable w/bonnet to take off the wax?
