I'ts been raining a little and water is hitting my left foot;
after a two inch body lift.

can't seem to find where it's coming from..

If I let the winshield wiper fluid run for a bit I get the same thing.

anyone heard of this before//?

This is no help, but I know exactly what you are talking about. Mine does the same thing, even though there is no signs of rubber/seal damage around the hood.

BTW, I don't have a body lift.

My guess is it might be coming in through the slotted metal panel at the windshield base. Water has to go somewhere when it goes into that opening, and I think that "somewhere" is to the inside.

I put a 3" lift on and I get the same thing but its on my right foot. The Same thing happens on the floorboard of my passenger side also. I would be curious to as what your findings are, I never have time to get under there when it is raining to check it out.

i have heard of many people getting water leaks in the interior of the car when the heater core goes bad.....a possibility

I just replaced mine (Heatercore) and made sure that it wasn't leaking. I know mine is dripping somewhere above the drivers side footpedal, the tubing to the heater core I don't think even reaches that far to the left. The heatcore itself is right behind the stereo, maybe a little to the left.

The passenger side footwell leak is the A/C drain hose being clogged. Locate this and blow some compressed air through the line.

I have not had an issue on the drivers side (yet)

Ditto what Cebby said. If it was the heater core, it would be antifreeze, not water, that you'd be seeing on the inside. If you're getting it with windshield washer fluid, at least you know its coming from up top, not being splashed from underneath. If its only on the passenger side, I would lean towards a bad seal around the window. I wonder if you could run a bead of silicon underneath somewhere?

Because I get the same thing on my 1997, and it's on my left or right foot, due to condensation buildup on the piping. It's not the actual A/C unit, but the tubing.

i get the same thing on my left foot! but onli when it rains. i havent noticed any when i drive during normal conditions, w or w/o a/c. i thought that it might be from the rubber grommet thing the steering shaft goes thru. mines all messed up. i get a bunch of hot air coming thru there too sometimes when im driving! UGH!

p.s. i have a 2 " body lift too.

And how would the windshield wiper fluid cause the AC to build up condensation? Re-read his first post.

It wouldn't! I guess try it with on without the A/C on when it's no raining. It may not be that, but it is on mine.

I would do like Joshick suggested and cheak the seal on your steering shaft through the fire wall. I did a 3" lift on my old truck and had the same thing.

What should I look for to find the A/C drain hose? Does this come directly off the compressor? Can this be seen in the engine bay or under the dash?

I get a little drip on the passenger side every now and then. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's raining or not. It's definitely water so I've got to assume that it's what you were suggesting.

Got the hose out let it run for two min.
I saw a few small beads trickiling down the cable wrap going to the antena relay. (cant be good)

I'll prob have to rip the front dash out to get to the bottom of this; pain in the ass.

I need to do this anyway to troble shoot my guage problem fuse #15 blowing may be related problem.

I think its the steering shaft.

After seeing the water last night, I fiqured it was a leak from up top.

However after ripping my dash apart; I ran water again (nothing) must have been from me tracking it in. DUH

AC for 10 Min (Nothing)

I've got a plate coming from performance products to compensate for the 2" lift thurs along with a new shaft seal from dealer.

Then, I'll see what happens when it rains again.

so it is the rubber grommet thingy where the steering goes thru? do u know the part number to that? i called toyota and explained what i needed but they had NO idea what i was talking about and wanted me to come in and look at pictures on their computer! :pat:
