hey does ANYONE really go wheeling in kc ?

Yeap! Its just hard to find the time to commit to a 2+ hour drive on the weekend when you have so many other interest. I know the various clubs (KC4WDA, TLCA, etc.) seems to get good turnouts for their trips.

But if your looking for weekly trips, it's probably best to get a list of phone numbers and emails and try to arrange for spontaneous trips. I know I'm dying to go, but I was in Arkansas last weekend, have to paint the house this weekend, a wedding in Wichita next weekend blah, blah blah...

The other problem is most of the wheelers in KC aren't on this board...I wish we had such a strong following like the guys in Arizona and out on the east coast.

If you really want to go on a great run, join up with the 4Runners in Colorado for their Weekend Jamboree. Search here or over on 4x4Wire for information.

I probably won't have a free weekend till late May. I'm going to do my best to join the KC4WDA on their trip to Montauk in June.

Patience, we have a long summer ahead of us and I know I'll be heading to Tuttle quite a bit after May.

In the mean time, do those inexpensive mods from time to time. That counts as quality time wiht your Runner

I ran into these guys by accident the last time they were in Buena Vista. I was there with the KC White Whitewater Club.

Buena Vista is a great place for a family trip. Take the kids, go wheeling, go rafting on the Arkansas...

I think I even going to try and put it on my Calendar for this Summer.

thankx, i was just looking at the TLCA, might join them, what do you think YOTATECH, would think about telling others, NON yota owners about the site, atleast to get more people in the area to post runs etc. ? im with ya on the time thing, having 2 kids that are into soccer, baseball, basketball, then all the others stuff, birthdays, anniversarys, etc, it is very hard to find time, but thankx alot for the imput and ideas, we need to find a land owner, in the area, that would be willing to let us wheel, and even play a little paintball, lol.

IMO you would be better off posting to the TLCA local chapter (www.tornadoalleycruisers) egroup and the KC4WDA egroup to find interest in the KC area. Some of the TLCA members are also members of KC4WDA

I will tell you as a member of TLCA they are primarily LandCruiser owners, (duh - I am the Master of the Obvious). They have been very helpful to me on some of my mod issues and one of the members came to my house the day I installed my lift. Oh yeah, as a local member you get a 25% discount at Molle Toyota Parts Department

I have yet to go on any trailrides with either club.

I intend to go to the next meeting of the KC4WDA to start meeting people. Maybe I will see you there...
