isr and wheel and tire questions

i have a 2000 4runner sr5 and i just did the isr mod, and i do not have any hose attached to my intake on the manifold and i have ben driving with the hose that was previously attached to the silencer disconected, what will this effect, and dose any one have any sugestions on how to fix it,

i also was wondering, if i were to purchase 18" wheels with no lift are there any allterain tires that i can fit on my 4runner.

i was also wondering if i were to get a 1" body lift what is the biggest tire i could fit, i do not want to invest in a suspension lift.
i mean i dont do to much off roading only ocasionaly, and i like the looks but i would get a suspension if i could for 500 - 600 dollers

search on the forums for a while to find solution to ISR mod, I did it myself, it's here somewhere

search discounttire.com and tirerack.com to find a tire that will work

a body lift would help fit bigger tires, I have no idea what sizes fit with 18" rims, good luck with that

Stock size is 30.6"

Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S
275/60R-18 113H RBL
is equal to 31"
should fit stock or with 1" BL just fine
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...YOKRHB&rf=true

Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor
P275/65R-18 114T OWL
equal to 32"
should fit with 1" BL
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...GDYRH7&rf=true

play with this site
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos
to figure out what the numbers do to tire size, and to figure out what combos will work... wider or same width makes a difference... not all size combos are available

thanks, as i said befor the tube you are supposed to connect to the T and the manifold is not there, and i have not seen any one with this problem, i do not know how to solve this problem, ya i was hoping to do a 18" with A/T TKO tire 32", i am also planing on doing a universal high flow cat from magna flow, and the 18" mufflerm, with dual pipes, un less any one has any suggestions, because i do not want it ubnactiously loud i just want a little bit more and i dont want it to sound like a rice burner.

you didnt say before! post a pic of your engine bay... or a couple

get a flowmaster 50 "truck/suv" muffler, from summit or several other places online... get it from autoanything.com and get pricematch from summit's site (thats what I did). It's a little louder, but sounds very nice at all rpms, with stock cat and pipes

When I finished my ISR mod, I was so anxious to drive it, I had not yet connected the other hoses. I had been stranded for a while before I got it fixed, bumming rides to Home Depot and OSH.

If you run it without connecting the hoses you might get a gargley noise. Its fine to drive maybe a few times, but I would connect those soon if I were you.

As far as tires, I never really go out actually looking to buy a brand. I search the ad's and find a good quality tire made by a good company for a good price. I try to talk the guys down, or try to get them to "beat" another stores price. Last time I got tires, they were a little over $100 a piece. But that was a long time ago.

Why don't you post a picture of the setup, so we can see what we're talking about?

Czar, go to photobucket, open a free account. Upload the picture and then select the IMG code.
It will automatically copy it for you. Then paste it here. Then post. Viola! The picture will appear, and we can get on with figuring out the problem.

This is what I did, following a guy named "Atwinda" from Mor4wd.com:

Take a small breather filter like this:

Put it on the end of that hose.

You're done.

I've been running mine like that for close to three years now, no probs at all.

By the way, you can get them at Walmart or Autozone, etc.
