Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here...

I've been visiting the site alot and I've learned about a whole crapload of stuff I had never even thought about before.

For starters I figure I'll introduce myself. I'm Keith from Tampa, and I've got a 1995 3.0 V6 4Runner that I love more than any other vehicle I've ever had. I've had it for about 2 years, and I'm at about 109,000 miles and haven't had any problems with it yet.

I recently decided to do a few of the simple and inexpensive mods to get me started. I removed the intake tube from the air filter box, and replaced the air filter this afternoon. I definately noticed an increase in pickup between 2000 and 3000 rpms, and I can really hear the difference it made. I do have a question though. Do I need to do something with the EFI to account for the change in the air/fuel ratio? I looked through the site with the search feature, but I didn't find any mention of this topic.

Welcome aboard.

As for your question, pull the EFI fuse for 15 mins then stick it back in. It'll reset the ECU so it can learn faster to your changes.

You might want to drop by the tech section we have here. A lot of good info on the 3.slows.

I must have missed that. I read through a good portion of the site, but I guess I'm just blind. Thanks for the help, I'll pull the fuse tomorrow morning.

Welcome noob!

Yeah, there's nothing to physically do with the computer. As Churnd said, pulling the fuse will reset the ECU and it will begin to adjust itself.
