Introducing Myself

Hi everyone. I just joined this forum. What a wealth of information!! I have a 1988 Toyota Pickup with the 22REC engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. It has 170,000 miles on it. The engine is in good shape, but I have a noisy input shaft bearing in the tranny.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good transmission shop in the Savannah, Georgia area?

Here's a photo of my truck.

sabre, please post more often so I can read your avatar.

DiSperlonga, snow in Savannah? Nice truck, looks very clean. That won't last with this group, they want mud shots! Welcome here, great group of knowledgeable enthusiasts and a "ask anything" attitude.

Talking

The photo was taken in Harrisburg, PA in January. No snow in Savannah, thankfully. Yesterday it was 82 degrees and sunny.

Turboale is in Savannah. He is very knowledgable and friendly. I think he is at the Savannah school of design (?). Just search under usernames.

Yeah, I bought a new 88 Forerunner in 88 and traded it like a jerk 3 years later on a Saab turbo. Wish I had kept the Toyota. That's why I bought this truck recently. Nostalgia will get you every time.
