interlock solenoid problem
Well yesterday, I couldn't get my key out of ignition. Even in park.
During the day it would sometimes work and not work. I pulled the interlock solenoid out of the column, it was weak. I was showning Normally closed at 0vdc and the pin open at 12vdc. (Wiring that is - solenoid was flaky) Do these things go out often. If there anything wrong with keeping it out. I removed for temp, but I know I can take key out know no matter what gear i am in. It's a safety thing.
Is there anything besides park switch to cause the interlock not to work properly. I bought a new tumbler, same issue so that's going back.
Is interlock the real problem?
Thanks
