make your own intake that basically free, then you can do both. i would just add a magnaflow muffler and an exahust tip.

Neither will give you enough power to make it "feel" the same as before. If you want it to feel the same, then it's time to regear...

Deckplate mod ---->https://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech.../deckplate.htm

This costs under $15 to do and it nets you the same 7-8whp as a $200+ K&N Filtercharger intake kit.

An exhaust realistically will give you a few ponies in the mid range (2.25" is ideal on the NA motor) but it ends up being a sound mod more than a performance mod with a good muffler.

Hey Nick;

Go with the Deckplate Mod with a good performance filter, (cause you are gonna have to clean it more offen the usual because of the 4" hole you will be putting in!!!) Then my vote will always be for a Magnaflow muffler!!! Because they have NO BAFFLES so it's straight through design!!! They sound really good with the V6!! (nice and throaty)
Good Luck
