Instrument Panel Lights are DEAD!!! Help!

Instrument Panel Lights are DEAD!!! Help!
Ok, so I managed to do something HORRIBLE while installing a new cd player in my 97 Tacoma. Now I have absolutely No Dash lights. This is not a good thing. It is not the fuse as I have checked that. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Feel free to call me a moron.

All fuses are good and nothing is disconnected. Initially a fuse was blown and it kept blowing. Then we figured out that we had one wire hooked up incorrectly. It was orange I believe. But finally it wasn't shooting fuses anymore, but the dash light were just gone.
