Installed a High & Low Freeway Blaster today. Even though I pulled the battery connection I still had this sinking feeling that the horn would go off as I connected it (kinda like sticking a fork in the toaster after you unplug it).
I had one little problem. I was installing them in the parking lot of Pep Boys and got the driver side done no problem. The passenger side had a pipeline routed in front that made the bracket too long. I drove home and tried out the horn. Didn't really notice a difference but remembered it was only 1 of 2. Drilled a new hole in the bracket and chopped the top. Plugged them both in and WOW, I can't believe I lived all these years with all sorts of wimpy horns. Ain't nobody cuttin' me off now!!!

I have a very old video in the Tech section of what the horns sound like.

Still have not got around to getting a better clip after all these years.

Mike, most auto parts stores carry them. They cost around $12 each. Make sure you get a High and a Low frequency one.

I have them, Rachel says they sound wimpy.

I do know it's her honking at me even when I'm not looking though. Definately has a unique sound. Congrats, now it's fun to honk at people again!

Seriously? Just pull over and ask her to drive one night and while she walks out front to switch with you lay on the horn. Then peel out screaming "Freeway Blasters B!†©H"

The installation is too easy its practically plug and play no cutting wires or anythign on a 3rds gen.

Rachel just thinks they're wimpy (so do I a little), because we are both used to hearing the air horn I use at work.

Did you have the same problem with the bracket? I remember hearing everyone say it was just plug and play but mine wouldn't fit without cutting down the bracket. Weird. Other than that, ya. I even left the stock horn 'clips' on and just crimped the blade connector so going back to stock will take mere seconds.

I'll make a clip this afternoon. It's kinda hard to tell how loud it is relative to other noise. Any ideas on how to show the comparison?

talk at normal volumn for a second at the same distance from the mic has the horn is....seems lke it would give us a good comparison from talking volumn....

okay, I took some clips but the problem is the audio on my digicam adjusts dynamically so they don't sound nearly as loud as they are. Just listen to Corey's freeway blasters to hear the tone and imagine them a lot louder.
