Hey whats up everyone, I'm new to the forum as you can see, since I mostly just kind of read and not post, but I'm about to put my first good deal of money into my truck. I have been searching and reading about tires and good offroading wheels for a couple of weeks now but I'm on a budget. Firstly the tires I've decided to go with are a set of kuhmo m/t 31x10.5R15. I read this 2 part review on them and it sold me on the tires.

For the wheels I just wanted some solid black steel rims that can get dinged up, and I can just spray over them with some krylon high gloss, if they get scratched. For these I looked at some AR-767's, some rock crawler xtreme steels, and some cragar black soft 8's. The cheapest I came across was the cragars at 35.95 a wheel for a 15x7 inch rim.

Four 31 x 10.5 R15 Kuhmo Venture M/T- 399.80

So I wanted to get some input and see if anyone else thinks this is a good deal and if I should go ahead and buy. I'm just getting into offroading as this is my first 4runner, so I want to start off small and then when I learn more go big. Thanks for any input and any help.

Also I've read a couple different posts about tire sizes, but just to make it absolutely clear to me so that I don't blow my money, Will the 31 x 10.5's and 15 x 7's fit my 1998 sr5 or should I get a different size. Again thanks for any expertise.

the tires will fit no problem, but the rim size may be tricky...

what is your current wheel diameter? 15" or 16"?

the general rule is that if your truck came with 16" wheels, you have to stay with 16". if you are currently running 15" wheels, then you are good to go

btw, welcome

you may even be able to go 32" on a 15"wheel

On a 16" you can do 265/75/16 no problems.

Yessir, I've checked both of them and they had some nice tires and wheels. I liked the terragrapplers and heard great things about them on the forum, but wanted something a little more aggressive. BTW I'm in Alexandria right off of 395. Thanks for both of your posts, and I'll have to check on the current wheel size.

Also make sure that the center hole of the wheel is big enough to fit on your truck, and I 2nd that you need to have had 15" OE wheels for these to work.
