Inner half shaft boots leaking, both sides
Can anyone tell me the cause of these boots leaking? They're not torn (i cleaned them up after the pic and inspected) and they are not cracked or showing any signs of age. This is happening on both driver and passenger side on the inner boots only.
Since I'm in Spokane Wa now and have icy/snow conditions i'm in 4wd a lot from Dec to March and it's imparative that my 4wd is alive and healthy.
I suspect the factory clamps are loosening up over the past 128k miles and maybe i just need to replace them. Any thoughts are helpful.

Given even enough time/usage that's what they tend to do. Not from the clamps loosening though. But rather from the boot loosening/stretching(whatever you want to call it). You might be able fix it short term by replacing the clamps with factory type clamps tightened tighter. You can fix it long term by replacing the clamps with adjustable hose clamps. Even longer term by replacing the boots and clamps.

Thanks hippy,
Since I'm not sure how much grease I've lost I think I'm going to remove the axles and boots so I can clean and grease them up like new and reinstall them before winter. I'll most likely stick with OEM boots when I replace them.
