I have a 2nd Gen as well as a 3rd. However, with any luck I won't have the 2nd much longer! Somebody's just GOTTA buy it soon.

Thanks for the info. June's a LONG time away. We drive out that way every couple of months anyhow, and might get a kick out of taking my son (in NJ) along for a weekend of dirt and fun. Don't count me out...

I would be interested. What part of PA is it in? That could play a major part. I would need to get some trail time before I go. Is there anywhere good in Indiana that I can work out the problems?

thanks,
Joe

Joe,

Hit the Badlands in Attica. If you interested in going maybe we can get a group trip together.

OK, guys ... let's talk about these Badlands ...

Is there anything for a guy to do there if his Runner isn't jacked up? Other than the SC and some cosmetic goodies, my rig's stock. No lockers, no big springs, no winch.

Can I find trails there that I won't end up buried up to my hood in mud or squished between boulders?

Since I've never been offroad, and the only pics that people post are of the most bizarre things they encounter, I can only imagine what disaster lay before me.

Can stock Runners play, too?

The guy I went with was all stock. He had the e-loacker and thats it. The white 4Runner is his. Check out his albums of the trip. For the most part there were drive around for most of the hard stuff. I had to winch him up twice, but if he had some decent tires, I bet he could have gotten out with a little momentum. There are plenty of trails to just drive around on. There is even a nice little creek to cruise through. Here are Jim's Pics, the guy with the stock runner I went with.

A stock runner can play. If you go with someone who has been there, it will be some much easier. Do you guys want to put together a trip or what? I would suggest sometime in February.

Feb. Sounds great! I think we should plan this! Earlier that better, because of work and whatnot... Hopefully I can get my Tacoma friend to come out to play!

For those of you that are considering, but its a bit of a drive, there is a little motel that I stay at about 5 mins from the Badlands...Historic Attica Inn. Anyways, tell em alls you have is like $30 and they'll give you a room.

Im game, but Im not sure how much Ill be doing...still recovering from last off-roading trip. Anyone else in the St. Louis area interested?? Its a measley 4 hour drive.

SWEET! I am excited now! I talked to my Taco buddy at work tonight, and he is game for going. He's been there before, but never took his Taco there.

Hopefully theWho1985 will go too, as will VF8, and poboy!!

OK, so you guys are planning on running the Badlands on Saturday, Feb. 8th?

Where are you meeting and at what time? Since I'd be driving down that morning, it would help to know where to meet. My Runner's basically stock suspension-wise and I've never been off-road, so I'm not too eager to show up, find nobody to tag along with and go exploring by myself. Getting stuck in mud and snow up to my hubs doesn't sound like much fun to me.

So, somebody either post a time/place or e-mail me and I'll do my best to talk The Boss into letting me go play with the boys.
