Index spark plugs?
:pat: I've heard of indexing your plugs using spacers(if thats the correct word)so that you get a good spark during combustion.Today I spoke with a mechanic who explained an easier way.If this makes sense, here goes!If you decide to do this,I'd start with an old set of plugs.1st-cut the prong that sits over the electrobe just past the high side of the 90degree bend.2nd-gap the plug at an angle to its recommended gap.The spark will arc sideways from the electrobe to the prong. The spark should be wide open to the fuel mixture during combustion stroke.Anybody agree or disagree.I think I might try it tomorrow.

What gen. 4Runner? On the 3rd gen you're supposed to use dual ground electrodes so they're already gapped to the side and not the top. Also how were you planning on cutting the ground strap.
