Increased fan blowing and lights getting brighter
1995
2.4L
automatic
2WD
As I'm making a turn and press the throttle to accelerate out of the turn the blower fan for my heater suddenly increases and the lights sometimes get brighter.
What is causing this? Is this an alternator going bad?
Thanks.

Could be that it starts to work correct and things work like they should .
Is your charge light on when this happens??
Could be the voltage regulator is causing it to over charge.
Could be you have a wire under the pedal or in the linkage.
A Multimeter is your friend
Say what that tells you.

Could also be the charge wire from the alt to the battery. Check for loose connection, corrosion up the wire under the connector. That is what supplies the resistance and a bad connection will cause the alt to overcharge.
Does the stereo cut out? Usually an overcharging alt will kick the stereo into protection if it's aftermarket.
